Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

fifteen to nineteen

Immediately after work I stopped at the grocery store for some cold supplies to try something a little different. During the night I had reached a rather simple decision. Rather than suffering until I can't take it anymore, I was going to take a more aggressive approach to fighting my cold. To combat the symptoms I drank massive amounts of orange juice and took some liquid cold medicine before I went to sleep today and when I woke it seemed to have made an improvement. There wasn't any pounding headache and I could still breathe like a real person.

There is a downside to the liquid cold medicine for me and that's the alcohol in it. I might get sleepy in the beginning, but once the alcohol works it way through my system, I am wide awake. It never fails to happen. When I say wide awake, what I should really say is that I feel like I am on the verge of being comepletely hyper. Instead of barely being able to keep my eyes open, I want to ricochet off of the walls. Within a matter of hours I go from one extreme to the next.

Today the hyper effect worked to my advantage. I woke up just in time to see the delivery guy parked in front of my house. Then I as made my way downstairs I could see him walking up the driveway with my new computer monitor. After waiting for it to reach room temperature, I marveled at the difference between a fifteen inch screen and a nineteen inch one. All that I can say is that I am never going back again.
