"Why pamper life's complexities
when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?"

I heard that this morning when I was walking the dog in Sophie Wright Park. I looked over towards Magazine.

She was a cute girl with a round face and a nice bobbed haircut, kind of teased up. She was driving a VW Golf and looking in her rearview mirror, spraying her hair and singing her heart out along with Morrissey.

"I would go out tonight
but I haven't got a stitch to wear..."

I smiled. I had too. It was still early, I was half hung over, and here this funny girl was going to work, fixing her hair and blasting the Smiths.

She caught me looking. She gave me a winning smile and put her hairspray down, but she never stopped singing. The light changed, and off she went.
