Effluvia The truth comes out: Ewok Massacre. Diary of a Madwoman in the Attic - Very nice! The reader is addressed as "Diary" (as in "well, Diary, here's what I did today...") and it hasn't been updated in over two years. Click the "Today's Entry" link and you get to read about an online romance, as well! Pure genius. Siobhan makes a quilt. Yes, a bit more exciting than my weekend, but not by much. More productive, though.

01/22/2001 Tabloid Well, I'll write an entry, but I can already tell that it won't end well. A quiet weekend at the Williams Estate. "Aren't they all?" I can hear you remark. You'd love to read this one Monday morning: I woke up Sunday morning to find a whore chained to the foot of the bed. Again. Sonya had gone off to score more crack, so I sat on the balcony, firing my .38 into the neighbor's backyard and swigging from a bottle of Drano until she returned. Then we killed that whore. But that didn't happen this weekend. Sonya is sick with the Neverending Illness and, to be honest, I'm still coughing and blowing far more than I like to. It's like, over a month and I've had maybe six days when I've felt good. It sucks ass. Though Sonya was quite especially sick today. She actually called in and took the day off, something she almost never does. So yeah, she actually feels bad. When I got home this afternoon she was on the couch in exactly the same position she had been in when I left this morning. No lights had been turned on, either, though the TV was on. That, friends, is a good solid sick day. I did the same thing early in the sickness, so I know where she's coming from.
Did you know I've never watched an episode of either A Different World or Fresh Prince of Bel Air? Not one. And I don't have anything in particular against either show. I've just never watched them, and now I have my record to think about and all, so I don't watch them.
Now, to recap yesterday in the breathless style of the tabloids: Harold and Sonya were seen at the fabulous New Orleans Center this past Sunday. There, they visited Macy's (love the Thanksgiving parade!) and Sports World of the South before going to the equally fabulous Riverwalk and eating some greasy crap - all while parking for free in the parking lot of Harrah's Casino because Harold doesn't mind getting something for nothing. Then they finished off their afternoon out with a trip to Winn-Dixie where they purchased many Deep South brand products. On returning home, Harold took their delightful little dog Roxy for a walk and she took a healthy shit in some rich people's yard.
Sonya may be sick, but she can still make a damned fine cheese dip. I've eaten some twice today. Yummy stuff.
Did you get a chance to see any of the inaugural hoo-ha on Saturday? I think the weather matched the occasion perfectly. But, on a lighter note, the XFL begins play in less than two weeks. Go Maniax!
Dear New Zealand Reader(s): Drop me a line, okay? It's cool to have a reader on the other side of the planet. We'll throw a shrimp on the barbie or something. |
