Another Damned Monday

Well, what do you little monkeys need to know today?

I'm trying to remember Friday night, which was the last time I updated. Nope. Nothing there. Did watch Nash Bridges, though. Which is always fun.

Saturday? I cleaned the house like crazy all morning, and that was nice. Then my friend Jose came over to burn some CDs. He and I drank a couple of bottles of wine while he regaled Sonya and I with tales of, um, substance experimentation and Peurto Rican politics. My knowledge was lacking in both places, so it was an informative (and fun) session.

And we made some killer CDs.

Saturday night? This is so sad: we watched Saturday Night Live. That's a limping old dog of a show, isn't it? Still, the Seinfeld-goes-to-Oz skit was the funniest thing I'd seen on there in years.

"Adebisi stuck me with an AIDS-infected needle."

"Well, good luck with all that!"

Sunday: goddamn motherfucking can't-stick-it-and-win-it Saints! Over the course of two minutes, stretched across two games, the Saints have thrown two wins away. Dammit, but it takes a lot of character to be a Saints fan.

Last night Sonya still wasn't feeling too wonderful, so I met Christy (The Good Witch) at Krystal and then we got in the truck and went to the Castle. All the regulars were there and concerned about Sonya's illness. They're a sweet bunch of kids. Christy and I camped out by the pool table and talked religion and relationships, actually. It was an enlightening and civilized evening.

In today's news, our passports arrived in the mail today; they're cool. And I've narrowed it down to four hotels in London. By the end of the week I should have some reservations.

Not that I don't have a few reservations now, of course.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm ready for the weekend. The Church are playing Newby's Friday night, which should be nifty. And there might be a bachelor party Saturday night, maybe. I'm hoping, anyway.
