Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

three day weekend

Well, my request for some time off at work was granted and knowing that I have a three day weekend coming up after this Sunday makes things a little more tolerable. Actually the one manager that has been annoying me lately is working days this week and in his absence I spent most of last night talking instead of working. So I think that I should stop complaining and start enjoying this lull that has been given me.

Then in another effort to relax I took a break from reading Snow Crash and changed over to my latest issue of The New Yorker, which was much more pleasant.

I know that a few weeks ago or so, I made some kind of grand statement here that I was making subtle changes in my life. I was going to try to be a little more productive and not dwell on things as long as I usually do. Of course after I concoct such a noble plan, I tend to lose my focus after a time and gradually settle back into what I know works for me and that is where I would have to say I am in life right now. Once again I seem to be back to just treading water and waiting for something to happen and it doesn't seem to be that awful to me.
