Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

Um, I hope that everyone changed their bookmarks, because I cancelled my old Simplenet account and they removed my site within hours of my request. Of course if my hit count takes a massive dive then I know that I should have given more forewarning than I did. In hindsight, I remember seeing an option for using a referrer link, but I didn't choose it.

In my latest issue of The New Yorker they review a new biography about Groucho Marx and I was a little surprised by what I read. The fact that his life wasn't overly happy didn't bother me, it just never occurred to me before that he might not have written his own material. In the case of Jay Leno I can believe it, because he hasn't been funny in years. Then he reinforces his lack of talent by placing bets with his joke writers on which jokes will do well or die, but I digress.

I'm not an expert on Groucho or the Marx Brothers as a whole, but Groucho always seemed so sharp to me, but I guess that that was all part of the illusion in the movies.

For most part all that I did today was read. In fact I only left the house to get my mail. It was one of those days where staying inside where it was warm was the best thing to do.
