the wisconsin image Warm air swirled around me as I walked to my car at three this morning. I was on my way to the grocery store for something to eat for lunch, since I was too lazy to bring something with me from home. I don't mind making the trip to the grocery store at that time except for one thing. I usually have to get someones attention to check my food out. Sometimes this might take a minute or two, while I other times I seem to be standing there forever, because everyone is too busy stocking the shelves to notice me. ... Driving home from work this morning I heard them interviewing a local woman who had been a cast member of the latest installment of the Real World. Since I don't have cable television, I haven't seen the opening episode yet, but I still listened to her anyway. Obviously she couldn't say much about the show due to a contract that she signed and the fact that the show has only aired one episode so far, but it sounds as though it was a positive experience for her. What I find even more interesting is that Wisconsin seems to be a popular choice for selecting people for the show. A few seasons back there was Sean, a log roller from Hayward, and now we get to see Julie from Delafield. Maybe we make a good choice for the hick quotient of the cast. I sincerely hope not. Then again Sean struck me as being one of the more mature and level headed people of his cast, but I might be biased. As long as people don't think that we all milk cows and wear bib overalls, I'll feel much better. ... A year ago I was in Canada at this time. Three weeks from now I'll be in Europe. Hopefully next year I'll be in New Zealand.
