autumn blows through

I let myself shutdown last night by putting aside most of my emotions. Instead of thinking about Ann, I fell into a world of reading. Now I'll have to wait and see what happens when I do see her again later this week.

It still amazes me how one person can cause such a stir in my life.

Unliked the media generated version of Labor Day, today wasn't much different from any other Monday for me. In fact I wouldn't have even known that it was a holiday if it weren't for television. The day itself doesn't have any real meaning for me and I can't really remember any special Labor Days in the past worth mentioning. More than likely I was too busy thinking about school which is what happens tomorow.

After the rain rolled through on Sunday, the humidity disappeared. In its place were temperatures at least twenty degrees cooler and some strong winds. Summer seems have to have left with the holiday that symbolizes the end of it. Personally I found it nice to be able to turn off the air conditioning for the first time in weeks and open the windows instead.

I caught part of a television program on Venice. Nathan Lane was the host and I kept saying to no one but myself that I had been there and there. About seventy-five percent of what he pointed out I had seen in July except that I didn't have his moronic banter at my side.
