Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

Being able to talk with my sister Hope on Saturday was nice. Of my three siblings she is the one that I talk with the most and I hope that that continues through time. I wouldn't say that we are the most alike of the group, but we do seem to understand one another which is surprising considering the ten year gap in our ages. Every time that we talk, I can't help but admire her and feel very close to her. She plans on being a doctor and I know that she'll make it.

The fiftieth wedding anniversary party went well, but I'm not quite sure how my father's side of the family sees me. In medieval terms I'm the eldest son of the eldest son, but yet I have no heir. I know that this doesn't bother me, but I remember hearing my grandma comment on it a few times in the past. Basically they want to know when I am going to get married and start a family. In their minds I am overdue.

One of my uncles unveiled the computer generated family tree that he has been working on for months. Inside the book were were new names and faces that I had never heard mentioned before and my grandpa was eagr to explain them to me. Just by listening to him talk, I can tell that the man has an amazing sense of history.

Flowing through my veins is British, Irish and Austrian blood from my father. While from my mother I received some British, German and Filippino blood. From this odd mixture I can pick and choose whatever nationality that I want.

I'm not sure what if anything will happen between Ann and myself, but I don't want anything bad to happen either. I'm too old to willfully be the source of pain for someone else nor do I want my life to turn sour either because of someone else. I don't play games and I like to think that I do what I say.

Most of the morning and early afternoon was spent reading. I wasn't quite ready to start using the beta OS on my computer system just yet. There were too many files that I needed to save and I wasn't in the mood for that kind of project.

When I had spoken with my brother on Saturday, he said that he hadn't heard anyone say anything nice about the beta and that he is going to avoid it. Once again we seem to differ when it comes to our approach to computers.

Unlike most of modern society, Mondays are a day of rest for me. To be blunt, I haven't worked a Monday in almost two years. Instead of hurrying off to my job, I can and do whatever I want at my own pace. There isn't anyplace that I have to be or anything that I have to do. The whole day is mine to waste away at my leisure. Today was one of those days.

Rather than running around the city, I had everything that I needed in the comfort of my house. Only twice did I venture outside my door. Once was when I took out the garbage and the second time was when I went to get the mail. The dismal weather outside meant nothing to me as I lounged the day away in my warm and cozy livingroom.
