safe journey Ann brought us breakfast this morning before I left work. It added another element to our usual Sunday chats. ... After going to sleep early this morning, I made a fairly painless transition to a first shift schedule today and ended up having a full day. With my added time, I finally got around to installing the Mac OS X beta on my computer. The summer weather from the past few days had been replaced with a featureless sky and cooler temperatures which made staying inside that much easier. It's too soon for me to make any real judgments on the beta yet. It'll take me some time before I can truly decide what I do and don't like about it. What I can say so far is that it is very different from what Apple used to do, but at the same time I can see the line of thought that they are following. ... Hearing that Radiohead was going to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, I taped the episode for future viewing. It was the first time that I had heard anything from the new album Kid A. For some reason I just haven't gotten around to downloading the songs off of the web from it. Then again I feel that they are worth buying the actual album and have it on order with a few others. After seeing them perform, I have to say that if he is anything, Thom Yorke is one unique individual. As to whether or not they become the next big thing now remains to be seen. Although this is a long way from the song Creep, which I am sure is how most of mainstream America remembers them.
