girl guitar singing I opted not to go out tonight even though I had been invited to do so by some people from work. Lack of sleep would have been my excuse if anyone had asked why. Falling asleep on the couch for three hours is not quite enough for me. I kept looking at the clock and saying to myself that if I took a shower now I would still have enough time to get ready, but it never happened. Instead of moving I just rolled over and slept another hour. In fact I kept doing this until the hour that I was supposed to leave came and went. Then I slept without any guilt. ... Before I made my way to work I watched some of Austin City Limits on television. Jewel was the primary guest for the night and gave what I thought was a really good performance. The intimate atmosphere of the place works for her type of singing. Actually I think that that kind of show is the only way that I would ever go to a concert again. The whole arena environment of spilled beer and pot smoke in the air has definitely lost its appeal for me over the years. I also seem to remember seeing some of Charlotte Church singing on television. I still haven't made up my mind of what to think about her. The teenage English girl with the grown up voice.
