winds of change Sixty mile per hour wind gusts and eighty degrees Fahrenheit is not something that I expect to experience in April here in Wisconsin. Except that yesterday that is exactly what happened. Watching it happen was fun, but trying to sleep through it wasn't. Even though I turned off the heat in my house, it still got pretty warm. That and the fact that the power kept going off every hour or so also bothered me. There would be a small clicking sound and then the display on my clock would start flashing. Sigh. Suddenly my biggest concern was that I wouldn't wake up in time to go to work. ... Work last night was tolerable, but there wasn't any Ann. She had left for home a few minutes before I got there. Part of the night was spent trying to organize my time for the next two months. Without too much thought I quickly realized that it is very limited. Somehow I have to cram eight more days of class, read two books, write one paper, take a final exam, make sure that everything is ready for my trip and search for a new car in there. Looking for a new job will have to wait until I get back from Australia. Yes, I am definitely ready for a new job. Once the semester ends and I get back from my trip there won't be too much else to distract me from my job and just working won't be enough. Actually since I leave for Australia on the twentieth of May, I have less than two months to sort everything out that I just mentioned.
