so very close

Last night at work I had a very odd conversation with the two faced woman. She sat down next to me with an inter office envelope in her hand and a very angry look on her face. Once seated she asked me if I thought that I was funny. Ignoring what was for me a great opening shot, I asked her what she was talking about while trying to figure out where this was going.

Two faced woman: Did you send me this envelope?

Me: No. (I hadn't.)

Two faced woman: Are you sure?

Me: Yes. That isn't my handwriting. (I looked at the envelope a little more closely trying to figure out what was inside of it. All that I could see was a green piece of paper. Why would I lie? Besides that isn't my style.)

After a few more questions she was satisfied that it wasn't me and walked away leaving me wondering what was in the envelope. Obviously I am not the only person that can not stand her and someone managed to get through to her. Now I am dying to know what was in the envelope and am regretting that I didn't open it when I had the chance. Later in the night she came back to say that I'd find what was in the envelope as being funny.

Two days this week I sat through a very unique cooking program on public television. The host of the show was cooking outside using something called dutch ovens. I had never seen anything like it before in my life. Apparently these large cast iron pans are used for old fashion camp style cooking using large amounts of charcoal.

Sometime late this afternoon it finally sank in that in one more week I'll be on the other side of the world.
