twelve hours sunlight

Late in the day and into the night I took some time to think about what is going to happen in my life in the coming months. Obviously the first thing that came to my mind is that I should be living somewhere else by the end of October. At the moment everything seems to be rolling along just fine in terms of the move, but I can't believe the amount of stuff that I have managed to accumulate over five years time. Even though I live by myself I've got boxes and boxes of stuff stored away that I never look at anymore. So what this means is that some of it is not coming with me. The answer is that simple.

I also know that I am going to invest in some new furniture once I get settled into my own place. I truly want this to be a major change in my life and my house should reflect it.

To help make this transition easier on my budget, I've haven't bought anything online in the last two months. Not only have the online auctions stopped, but so has my impulse book buying. Now when I need to something to read I go to the shelf rather than online. I certainly have enough books lying around that could be read first before I get other ones.

About a month ago I fell back into an alternative country mode in music with the discovery of the now defunct Whiskeytown. The songs were amazing and I soon had forty of them. Then before I went to work I saw Nickel Creek perform on Austin City Limits and I had a new obsession.

I love a woman who can play a fiddle.
