possible snow weather After venting to my coworkers about the work events from the weekend, my boss and I danced around the topic before I left in the morning. Part of me knew that I wouldn't be able to go home without it be addresed at least once by him, but I was not about to speak first. Before I would say anything I had to feel out his emotional state on this issue. No doubt he was upset that I didn't respond to his query. Our conversation lasted about ten minutes and at the end of it I think that he understood that I had done all that I could and that two other people in the department had caused the damage and should have been asked for more information before coming to me. Then again maybe he didn't understand. I don't know. There are times when management and I do not agree at all and I can accept that fact. I also believe that management very seldom know what happens on a day to day basis in their department. Oh, they might have know before they were promoted, but once a person has been in management they quickly get removed from the real world and get sucked into a world of meetings and spreadsheets. Of course they still think that they know what goes on in their department without realizing that in fact their knowledge is now outdated and useless. ... Work and my personal life do not mix. That is one of my core rules that I do not break. Nor do I want people to break them for me. My boss and his attitude was crossing that line. I did not appreciate it. ... I don't know why I said that Patricia Arquette wasn't attractive yesterday. She does have a certain charm about her. Plus if I remember correctly, I rented the John Boorman film Beyond Rangoon just because she was in it and I also liked her in the Stephen Frears film The Hi-Lo Country with Woody Harrelson. Putting aside Arquette's physical traits, I would have to say that she is a talented actress. At the very least she has more talent than say someone like Jennifer Anniston who in my opinion does not act. Anniston is simply herself in whatever she does. There are times when I also think that Gwyneth Paltrow falls into that category.
