fifteen minutes late Something new happened at work last night and it wasn't a positive thing either. For the first time in months I was late. I had woken up in time and was ready to go with forty-five minutes to spare, but then I decided to lie down again. At the time it seemed like a good idea, but I soon learned that it was a mistake. Being late really didn't matter since I am salary anyway. ... Lately my new joke at work is to visualize my boss as a walking Magic Eightball. You give him a shake and you get one of a handful of nonsensical and or vague answers that can be readily misinterpreted. To him however they make complete sense. Sigh. ... My mind seems to be wandering more than usual lately and I can't quite explain why either. Maybe a better way to say it would be that I can't seem to focus on any one thing and that would include the journal. I haven't looked at any of my school work this week and I should. I make small amounts of progress in planning my trip to Europe, but I could probably do more than I have been. There have been some efforts to look for another job. These and a few other things have been going round and round in my head and nothing seems to get finished. Now this is starting to sound like whining which is not what I want. My life is okay, I just need a day or two to sit and sort things out again and I am hoping that those days come soon. ... I can't even think of a pop culture segment to chat about today. Wait. I think that I have one. Maybe to distract myself, I broke down and bought the Kieslowski Three Colors trilogy on DVD. I've had copies of both Blue and Red on videotape for years and I love them enough to have them on DVD as well. Personally I think that the interview would Irene Jacob is reason enough to have them. Careful readers might have noticed that I said trilogy and only mentioned two films and that would be correct. For some reason I never got around to buying a copy of White so that makes the new purchase a little more justifiable. I'll finally have the complete set.
