long sleeved shirt Before I left work this morning, the team leader of my department talked with me for about an hour. He just wanted to make sure that I wasn't letting all of the criticism that has been directed my way lately bother me. I said no, but he went on to explain why the person behind the comments is such an asshole. I found this information to be very enlightening and slightly humorous at the same time. It seems that the control freak is just the same at home and as a result his children hate him. All of them have rebelled in some way that is probably very embarrassing to the asshole. ... In the early morning hours of work, I teasingly asked Nicole if she had been avoiding me since we hadn't spent any time together in days. She said no and explained what she had been doing that kept her from me. Then at the end of my day after my team leader told me to go home, Nicole and I spent some time catching up, which probably amused the rest of her department and may have annoyed her fiance. As I have said many times before my attraction to her has always been obvious and I don't hide it. In fact I have to keep telling myself not to reach out and hold her whenever I get close to her. Besides I can't give her a hug when everyone is standing around watching us. Nicole is one of the few people that I know who can make me happy just by being herself. ... Last Friday Jen had asked me to go out with her and some of her friends, but I knew that I'd be busy during the day and said that I couldn't make it. Today, however, I had plenty of time and went out with Jen for the evening and it was a good start to my weekend.
