conquering the aztecs Rain was with me again this morning as I left work and I wasn't that surprised. Even though the official start of autumn might not be until next week, the recent weather that we've been having meets the pattern of what we can expect for the next two months or so. Before I left work I spent some quality time with Nicole. She had more than enough stories to make me stay almost an hour after my shift had ended. I didn't mind staying there, because I love her stories. The amount of energy and expression that she outs into them always makes me smile, but that isn't anything new. She is one of the few constant elements in my life that I really appreciate and I think that she knows it. Noon is almost here and I need to get to sleep. Maybe the rain will start to fall again. ... When I woke later in the day I felt the best that I had in days. I'd had just the right amount of sleep and I didn't have to do anything or be anywhere. Yes, it was Friday night, but all that I wanted to do was relax. I guess that one could consider that a sign that I am getting old. |
