On the educational front I caught part of a program on public television where they discussed the importance of the book of Deuteronomy in the Bible. Basically it was added to shift the religion of the Judean people to a monotheistic concept as opposed to the mildly pantheistic one that they had going for them before the book surfaced. What I do know is that Astarte who was also known as Ishtar formed the basis for the modern day holiday of Easter and that is where the rabbit connection comes into play.
