those autumn rains Sometime late yesterday, my post vacation high wore off. With two weeks of the fall semester complete and cooler weather becoming an everyday fact, I finally let myself accept the fact that summer was over and that there were things that I needed to do before the end of the year. This did not make me happy. Sigh. I want to finish rearranging the second bedroom, get started on planning my next trip and throw out some things that I have not used since I moved here. Somewhere in there I need to keep up with school, see a few plays, maybe start to do some artwork again and still manage to seem concerned with my job. ... I see that John Mayer has released a new album and Dido has a new one coming out at the end of the month. Suddenly the idea of some new music sounds like a good idea even though I spent part of the day sorting through all of the unlabeled mix discs that I have made over the past year or so. Once the first track starts I can usually remember what else is on there, but writing the names on the disc would probably save me some time. |
