festival of scorpio Work surprised me by being calm on a Sunday night Monday morning. Usually the company likes to make system changes at the beginning of the week, which would be fine except for the fact that they inevitably go wrong. Once the damage is done, the rest of the morning is spent trying to correct the mistakes that should have been seen ahead of time. That didn't happen today and I wish that I would have brought more homework with me to work. There was more than enough time to do it. Another surprise from work was that I didn't get upset during a meeting with my boss. He had his chance to say what he wanted and I managed to express a point or two in response without it ruining my day. It went so much better than I had imagined it would go, but I had been expecting the worst which is typical for me. Thankfully reality never seems to match the doomed scenarios that my mind creates. ... The more that Mala talks about Naxos in the book A Trip to the Stars, the more that I want to see it. |
