nearing the end Yesterday I spent three hours in the university library and today I spent a very long four hours there. Even though it was time well spent working on my final paper for the semester, I am not growing fond of the place. Reading one scholarly journal article after another is very time consuming and my concentration starts to wane somewhere into the second or third hour there. Instead of focusing on what is on the page in front of me I get the urge to take a walk and or watch the other people around me. When that happens I suddenly go from being productive to being trapped and wasting time. Sigh. An hour is all that I want to be there tomorrow and hopefully that will be enough time to finish what I need to do for the paper. Once that is done I am going to enjoy my weekend and upcoming birthday. |
