singing chinese songs After a long night at work where I was half asleep most of the time, I decided to watch Shanghai Triad with the lovely Gong Li before I let my head hit the pillow this morning. I don't regret missing out on those two hours of sleep. Tim Burton may have let me down, but Gong Li did not. Throughout the film she was dressed in elaborate costumes and looked the best that I had ever seen her. In the last film of hers that I saw she was in ancient China, so being able to see her wearing 1930's clothing was amazing. Now I don't mind all of the robes and finery of The Emperor and the Assassin, but she was much more human in Shanghai Triad. |
