wee puppet man

All that it took was one round trip to the east side and the lovely shiny car that I had yesterday was transformed into something that looked as though it were built out of salt. Sigh. I don't think that I got my car washed too soon, because it needed it, but I wish that it had lasted for more than a day. I also think that getting my car washed yesterday was another factor in improving my mood. That isn't to say that I am in love with my car, but driving something that looks good never hurts.

For the first time in a month, the temperature has risen above the freezing mark and according to the weather forecast it is going to stay that for the coming week. Naturally this makes people start to long for spring, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got another load of snow before the month of March is over. Of course this won't stop me from enjoying this sudden heat. Now if only we could get some rain to wash away all of the salt on the roads. Then the next time that I get my car washed it will stay looking clean for longer than a day.

In keeping with the transformation theme, yesterday I also got my hair cut which was needed as well. The length was on the verge of looking shaggy and the wind was leaving me looking disheveled more than I wanted.

The internship went better today than my class, but that seems to be the trend this semester. In general school is starting to wear on me now that the end is so near. Most of the time I feel as though I am a senior in high school or even college once again and all that I want is out. I know the routine and I want something new.

Since Wednesday is the one day of the week where I can watch television and or movies, I got some quality viewing in today. First on the list was the Colin Baker era episode of Doctor Who, Vengeance on Varos. I vaguely remember seeing some of his stuff years ago on public television, but this episode wasn't one of them. The Colin episodes that I do remember most were from the Trial season.

Through various screen captures online not everything in the story was new to me, but obviously that didn't give me any of the dialogue. Nor does a still image capture the full effect of Nicola Bryant running around in her infamous leotard and shorts combination that she has often said she hated. As to how John Nathan Turner thought that was what American college women were wearing at the time is beyond me. Then again I think that he just wanted to have her dressed in something that was tight fitting and that is what the audience got.

Warner Brothers has decided to cancel Angel and that is fine with me. However, the episode Smile Time that I saw tonight was a scream. Angel as a puppet was perfect and I almost wish that they could have made it last for longer than one night.
