post vacation high Someone at work asked me if I was bored without school to keep me busy. I quickly said no and meant it. Since I got back home from Europe last week, I've been far too busy to be bored. First of all, there were things that I needed to do before I left but before I could get to those tasks my parents brought over more stuff for me to organize. Suddenly my self made chore list had expanded. Now instead of being able to rearrange my second bedroom, I have new boxes to sort through sitting in my kitchen. Once both of those things are finished, I want to start painting again. Plus whatever free time I have leftover will be spent reading. Between school and work I never had any time for pleasure reading and fell behind with both The New Yorker and National Geographic. Besides those two magazines I also have some stacks of comic books that I won in online auctions. No. I don't foresee me being bored any time soon. Having my three day weekends back after months of being chewed up by commuting to the internship and school is wonderful. Thankfully all of that effort paid off when I checked my grades. I got a B in the class and a B+ in the internship. ... I can't really remember my eighth birthday too well, but I suspect that all of my presents were toys. If that wasn't true, it was certainly true for my niece and I contributed to her haul. Thanks to me she now owns four new action figures and an anime movie on DVD. |
