the boy wizard Last night at midnight or early this morning depending on one's point of view, I saw the highly advertised move Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban. Now having seen all of the third movie in the series and most of the second one, I am convinced of one thing. I am not the target audience for this franchise. Maybe if I were a twelve to sixteen year old girl, then I would be more excited about what I saw on the screen. Since I don't fall into that category, I was less than impressed by the movie. I can honestly say that whatever appeal the characters might have for other people is lost on me. Not having read any of the books, I went into the theater with little expectation and walked out not caring anymore than I did when I started. People around me were enjoying themselves by watching what was happening, but I fell asleep for part of the movie and it didn't bother me that I missed part of the plot. |
