arthur dolphin garth Today I did little else but read some of the magazines that I've neglected since the beginning of the year and for me that was a great way to enjoy the day. There wasn't any rain and I could feel a slight breeze coming through the patio doors as I read. It almost felt like summer to me and I have no complaints. A few more days like today would be fine with me. Thanks to National Geographic I have a better understanding of the difference between the Shiite and the Sunni Iraqis. Before I read the article I had no idea when or why those two groups spilt and hate each other so much. Now using this newly acquired knowledge I have a feeling that any one sided form of government will fail there, because of this long history of animosity between them. Having one group superior to the other will always cause tension and that seems to be the direction that the country is heading. Besides that insight into the confusing Islamic world, I also got a history lesson on the mall in Washington D.C. I didn't know that there was so much controversy on what gets placed there. ... On a different reading note, I reached the bottom of the stack of Peter David era Aquaman books that I had wanted to read. I was very pleased by what I read except for one thing. I didn't have the end of his run. As of now I have no idea what happens next to Arthur, Dolphin and Garth. What this means is that I'll be watching the auctions online for the rest of the series. |
