anyone play guitar I finally got around to seeing the Radiohead film Meeting People is Easy and I can't believe that it's been ten years since they released Pablo Honey. It was my final year at Stevens Point and Creep was in heavy rotation on MTV. Despite the media saturation of that one song, I knew that there was more to the band and was curious to hear what they would do next. Their second album The Bends confirmed my belief and I was hooked from that point forward. There was no way that I could have imagined OK Computer at that time, but it happened and I'm glad that I got to hear it. ... China is my destination for next year and I've already starting doing my research on what I want to see and do when I get there. Personally I think that the more planning that I do ahead of time lets me enjoy more while I am there. By the time that I get there I have a mental map of the area and spend less time fumbling around with a map and or book to get where I am going. Obviously there is a difference between what I visualize and reality, but I do want a slight advantage before I step off of the plane. As of now the trip is going to be divided between the two cities of Hong Kong and Beijing. Obviously there is far more to China than those two places, but I doubt that I'll have enough time to see more than that while I am there. |
