the judas contract I made the mistake of not turning on my air conditioner before I fell asleep and my body paid the price for that error in judgment. Feeling hot and very dehydrated I woke up far earlier then I wanted to be awake. I was not happy about the situation and wished that I had turned on the air as soon as got home in the morning. Sadly this looks like the trend for the rest of the week. The rain has stopped and the extreme heat has taken over. Now most people would probably be excited by this summer weather, but trying to sleep during the day when the inside of my house reaches eighty plus degrees is not pleasant. Nor do I want this to become a daily struggle for me. Thankfully there is a simple solution. I just need to keep the air running until the temperature starts to drop below seventy again. ... These past few days I've been all over the pop culture map which is very me. First there was my confusion about the whole Harry Potter movement and then it was revisiting a band that first caught my attention a decade ago. Plus somewhere in there I managed to see two episodes of Pimp My Ride on MTV for the very first time. As far as I can tell the only thing that Harry Potter, Radiohead and Pimp My Ride have in common is my watching them. Continuing with this recap of pop culture musing, I watched a Sylvester McCoy era Doctor Who episode, The Curse of Fenric, today. Now as much as I like the seventh doctor and Ace, I don't think that this was one of his better efforts. The plot seemed more muddled than usual and none of the characters appealed to me. About the only redeeming part was seeing Ace wear this cute red lace 1940's style hair net throughout the episode. On the reading front, I finished the last issues of John Ostrander's political series Hawkworld and moved on to some more Marv Wolfman George Perez era Teen Titans. |
