cowboy law code

In some film circles the Western is considered the purest form of American cinema, but I have never quite understood its appeal. So I thought that I would give it another try by watching Red River with John Wayne and Montgomery Clift. Now having seen it, I have to say that I liked some of what I saw. I suspect that the majority of my enjoyment came more from the Mutiny on the Bounty theme as opposed to anything that John Wayne did. Plus I have no love for the comedic stylings of Walter Brennan.
