berlin to budapest Work couldn't have been more peaceful when I walked out of there this morning. Not only was the morning quiet, but the night had been the same way. Then as an added bonus, my boss was off for the day. I took his absence as a Christmas gift and was ready to forget about the place for the rest of the week. The holiday was getting near and work has no place in that picture. ... On The Amazing Race they left Berlin behind for Budapest and I envied them a little, because I've never been there and from what I saw during the episode the architecture there looks wonderful. Vienna is about as close as I ever got to seeing Hungary and that may or may not change in the future. Before I set foot in Hungary, I want to see Iceland, Greece and Spain. Those three places take precedent over any Eastern European countries on my list of places to see. ... While making a late night run at the grocery store, I ran into someone that I hadn't seen since this spring. The familiar face belonged to a woman who I knew from my internship. She recognized me first and I knew her as soon as she started to talk. It was truly nice to see her again and maybe we'll be able to get together after the craziness of the holidays is over. |
