finally visiting titan Through my parents I found out that my sister has left Iraq and will be spending some time in Kuwait before the military sends her back home to the States. What this means is that she will be able to celebrate her twenty fifth birthday without having people shooting at her. I see that as a good thing and am looking forward to seeing her at the beginning of next month. If all goes well she will get her life back and the election in Iraq can go forward without her. ... As the mercury went below zero, I crawled under my afghan and read comics for most of the afternoon. Instead of Pre Crisis Superman, I was busy following Lilith as she reunited with her children. She wants them to join her in destroying the Silver City. I have a feeling that Elaine might object to that idea and will probably stop her. In an odd mirror of current events Nathan Kane is still investigating the sleeping bodies on Titan. NASA may have just sent a probe there, but in the Warren Ellis and Chris Sprouse comic Ocean, mankind has not only found water there, but an ancient race asleep in that same water. Mark Waid and Barry Kitson have launched a new version of the Legion of Super-Heroes and I'm not quite sure how to react to it. The names are the same and in some ways the group acts in a way that meets my expectations, but something seems to be missing and I can't say what it is yet. |
