battlestar galactica marathon Since it was over two decades ago, I can't say that I remember very well watching the original series of Battlestar Galactica, but I do know that a friend of mine at the time owned some toys based on the television program. To put it another way, I have no strong connection to the original series and went in with that frame of mind when I watched part of a marathon of the new series on the Sci-Fi Channel this morning after work. Now having seen four episodes, I have to say that I liked what I saw. Re-imagining the cylons as beautiful women was interesting as was changing the sex of the Starbuck character to female. Both of those changes were positive ones in my opinion. My only regret is not having seen the series from the beginning. Thankfully Netflix will correct that problem shortly. |
