found the heroes Now that Lost has gone on hiatus until February of next year, I can fully transfer my focus over to the television program Heroes that airs on Monday night on NBC. Both shows employ the same device where all of the characters have intersecting lives, but as to what fully connects them has yet to be revealed to the viewer. With this being the third season of Lost, I had more invested in the program and was reluctant at first to start watching Heroes even though various reviews said that it would appeal to people who followed Lost. Now having seen all of the episodes, I have to say that it didn't take long for me to get hooked and I am hoping that it gets renewed for next fall. ... Moving my stationary bike inside my house from the garage was a good move on my part. Now that I can see it every day, I feel more inclined to actually use it. Plus I now have the pleasure of being able to watch television as I pedal to nowhere. ... In the Churchill biography that has been making my work commute more interesting, I have reached the years at the start of World War Two. What I found interesting was that Winston knew that Hitler was trouble before the rest of Europe realized what was happening. ... I am looking forward to the next few days off from work. Besides some overdue cleaning of my place, I should have time to do some serious amounts of reading. ... Overall I think that this has been a very good season for the Amazing Race, because the producers made some subtle changes to the show that I think has made it better than in the past. For example, eliminating a team at the very beginning was a welcome change and no longer having the money penalty were good changes. Plus I like the fact that this most recent leg of the race is taking more than one episode to see. From my perspective the race has become exciting again with people that understand the nature of the race without taking it to an extreme. On a more personal note, since I have been to Helsinki, I recognized the train station that the teams had to find. I ate there more than once when I was in that city back in 2002. |
