nanovirus plant sunset

Last night I brought another plant with me to work. I already had two small jade plants and a larger plant with spike style leaves in my work space, but I wanted something more colorful to be near me where I sit and type for ten hours a day. So after some thought I decided that a plant with variegated leaves would be a nice addition.

It took some moving around of the monitor and some power cords to find a proper place for the plant, but I like seeing the new sign of life in such a sterile work environment. Plus I love the contrast of the gray plastic and silver metal next to the soft greens and yellows of the plants.

I suspect that most Americans are excited by the earlier start of Daylight Savings Time, but I am not one of them. A seven o'clock sunset in March seems a bit too soon for me. I prefer a more gentle transition between the seasons. A sudden change in the setting sun does not agree with me. What does agree with me is the recent change in the weather. The temperature has been rising the past few days, but there are still pockets of snow on the ground here and there.

Bruce Jones may have lost my interest with his run on The Incredible Hulk, but I am thoroughly enjoying his take on OMAC. Making the last OMAC a drug user is brilliant in my opinion.
