Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

I was really glad that I got to meet Trish in person. We had a good time the day before and if things had been a little different I would have stayed longer.

The ride back to Los Angeles was more relaxed then the ride to Fresno. I could take my time and enjoy the scenery, because Dan wouldn't be home from work until after six in the evening and I didn't have any keys to his place.

The Grapevine didn't seem nearly as daunting the second time around. It isn't as high as Yosemite and the four lanes of traffic gave me a better sense of security than the single lane in Yosemite. Of course I over shot the correct exit to where Dan lived and ended up driving around in Beverly Hills for an hour. There are worse places to drive around so I didn't mind. Eventually I decided to head for the Griffith Observatory and maybe watch the sunset over Los Angeles.

I wasn't alone in my quest to see this event. People were gathered all around me as the sun sank lower in the sky. It was a mixture of students on field trips, couples and tourists. Eventually Dan showed up and we headed out on the town for one final night. This time we ended up in a bar called Dublins.
