spring fever Well it finally happened to me. I fell asleep at work last night. I knew that I was tired, but I didn't know that I was that tired. I guess that it really wasn't that serious, because it happened while I was on my lunch break, but just the same it was a first for me. I had curled into a ball on one of the more comfortable chairs in the lobby at work and time slipped away from me. An hour went by in an instant for me and I was fifteen minutes late coming back from break. When my boss saw me he asked me what happened to my face. It seems that I had a nice imprint of my sleeve on my face. Oh, well. I am only human. I was almost completely irrational yesterday afternoon when I woke up, so I wanted to avoid that today and went to sleep as soon as I got home. Now I can say that seven hours of sleep certainly changes my perception of the world. Things seem much more manageable when you aren't on the verge of hallucinating from lack of sleep. After I shaved the two days worth of facial growth away and showered, I immersed myself in music. The Spinanes, Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Stone Roses and Third Eye Blind vibrated through my house. Spring will be here soon it seems. I could sense it in the night air when I went out to get some food before I went to work. There seemed to be more people out and about on the streets than I usually see on a Saturday night. People want to be outside and active again and so do I.
