call me pip

On Sunday night Masterpiece Theatre aired a new version of Great Expectations with Charlotte Rampling as Miss Havisham and I had to watch it. I love the story and it is one of the few Dickens novels that I have read. Each new interpretation that comes out, I have to watch at least once. I even sat through the Ethan Hawke and Gwyneth Paltrow version a year ago that eliminated a lot from the book. Mr. Jaggers didn't even appear in that version. Since I promptly fell asleep after seeing The Mummy yesterday afternoon, it wasn't until at two this morning that I got to watch it.

The good mood from yesterday carried over into today. It wasn't a day packed with activities, but I still got things accomplished, which made me happy. I simply let the geek boy in me take over and downloaded and installed the latest version of the Mac operating system.
