Chatted with an attractive tour guide named Georgette. I had never heard the word wicked spoken with a French accent until today.
The room was crowded with school children on a field trip, so the two of us hugged the back wall and talked. At first we talked about the Evangeline story and how they feel about it in Louisiana as compared to Nova Scotia. Then the conversation got more personal and I found out that she had just gotten out of college with a degree in French literature and was thinking about getting into teaching.
She was impressed that I was traveling alone and gave me tips on where to go and what to see. I could have spent the whole afternoon with her, but didn't.
