precision in sleep

I almost thought that autumn was here with the cool winds blowing through the yard last night. The only thing that was missing was falling leaves and maybe a light frost. Oh, it didn't get that cold, but the temperature did drop over twenty degrees and I could sleep with the air conditioner off for the first time in days. Of course none of this will last for very long. July is only two days away.

I fell asleep wrapped in blankets only to wake once again with the artificial scar across my face. It comes from the border of my pillowcase, which doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is the precision of the indentation. Somehow in my sleep I can align the folds at just the right spot.
