I'm gonna give the old G3 to my mom, right? Problem is, the monitor isn't working right. It goes all weird colors and sometimes stops talking to the computer totally. I think it's the cable. So I went to CompUSA. They have all sorts of weird Mac crap, right?

Wrong. They sent me to the Computer Shoppe, Metairie's independent Apple dealer. They told me that type of cable only came with that monitor. There's really no way to get another one.

They did agree, though, that the cable did need replacing. They just couldn't replace it.

Damn you, Apple!
