shifting boxes Today wasn't nearly as productive as I had hoped that it would be. Rather than spending money on buying new stuff, I wanted to organize what I already owned. So I ventured into the closet where there are boxes that I have not opened since I moved here four years ago and started to do some sorting. Unfortunately once I got started I couldn't finish, so I now have boxes scattered around my house. Any thoughts about my job or what I wanted to do once I get back from Europe were forgotten today. I was too busy making a mess of my house to think about other things. Then when I got tired of making a mess, I sat back to watch Apocalypse Now for the first time in years. I thought that I wouldn't like it as much having now read The Heart of Darkness which was a partial source for the film, but reading the book didn't really change my opinion that much. I mean they do have common elements, but they don't have to mirror one another nor do I think that was the intent behind the film.
