saturday at work After having a very busy night at work on Friday, I was able to relax into my weekend on Saturday night. To thank Ann for staying late with me on Friday night I went into work early and brought some food with me as well. She appreciated both gestures and soon I was left all alone to read. I was finally able to finish reading Cold Beer and Crocodiles by Roff Smith. Amazing stuff. Ann didn't understand his motivation, but I could easily see myself doing something along the same lines. To be able to be on the road for nine months at a time sounds heavenly. He was free of what most people consider to be important issues and saw the continent of Australia in a whole new way. Now I'm reading One for the Road by Tony Horwitz. Rather than riding a bicycle around the continent of Australia, he is hitchhiking.
