smelling her hair

Nicole was in a fun mood Friday night Saturday morning and so was I. In fact I would almost say that I felt the best that I had in days. I had made it through the work week without incident and I was that much closer to a three day weekend. Nothing could bother me and i could have hung out with Nicole for hours if I didn't have to do my job. It's funny how those little things seem to get in the way of having fun.

So Christmas has come and gone. Now all that we are left with is winter. I suppose that winter here is better than what they are having in Buffalo, New York, but the days do seem a little more bleak. All of the planning, stress and excitement of the past few weeks is just a memory. On the other hand I could be experiencing the bushfires down in Australia. Seeing the photos of the smoke and haze in Sydney is odd, but I guess for them it has happened before and will probably happen again.

California Dan was back in Wisconsin for the holidays, but are paths never crossed. About as close as we got was a few emails. Life seems to be going well for him and I admire the way that he sees the world. He does what he wants and seems to have little worries in life. Not many people can say the same thing about their lives.
