april is over

The weather has been coinciding nicely with my weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays it rains then on Monday the sun comes back in full force. The same was true for today, but the wind was a little stronger.

...

Most of this month was a blur for me and I might need to read what I wrote to get a better idea of what I did. I suspect that May is going to be just as busy with the semester ending and then I'll be off to Europe for the second time in my life. Of course those are good things and will probably change me in some subtle way. At least I am hoping that that is what will happen.

...

When I walked out of class, Amanda and her sidekick almost bumped into me. They had exited out the other door and reached my exit at the same time. I let them pass and walked behind them trying not to eavesdrop. I knew from past experience that her friend would go off in another direction at the bottom of the stairs and she did. Suddenly it was just Amanda and me, so I decided to say something.

Me: Amanda, you should wear your hair down more often. It looks good that way.

Amanda: Oh, thanks.

Then we parted. Yes, I said it even though it took her by surprise and in fact killed any further conversation. No doubt at this time she probably thinks that I am insane if not creepy, but it didn't bother me. Besides I could have said something to her about the green plaid pants that she was wearing, but I didn't. Nor did I mention that she probably shouldn't use blue eye shadow. Even being a guy I know that that doesn't work well for most women.

More than likely we won't speak at all on Thursday in class. When I talked with Miss Flax there was more of a connection and we've talked here and there since that first time. I didn't get that feeling from Amanda.

...

Before I went to work I caught another episode of my new favorite travel program, but this time it was Megan and not Justine as the host. Megan had some of the same qualities as Justine, but it wasn't the same. Then after the show ended they had some smaller segments from around the world and Justine was in one of them climbing a moving glacier in Patagonia.

Seeing her bundled up in a red down jacket made me smile and I would gladly have held out my hand to help her on the ice.

I've never given much thought to seeing South America except for Machu Picchu in Peru, but I think that Justine just changed my mind. Besides I am slowly thinking that I'd like to set foot on each of the continents if I can. To me that sounds like a great goal to have in life.
