tetsuro climbed onboard
Work was fun this morning and naturally that had to do with some quality time with my buddy Nicole. I just can't seem to get enough of her.
I'd been asleep for an hour when the doorbell rang and tore me from the couch. After slipping on some jeans, I stumbled down the stairs, opened the door and saw my mail carrier sitting in her jeep at the curb. I called to her once, but she didn't hear me. Since I wasn't wearing any shoes, I couldn't just run down to her so I called again. Thankfully she heard me the second time and made her way back up the steps to my door with a package in her hands.
Inside the package was my newly purchased collection of eight anime films on DVD and I couldn't resist watching part of one before I let sleep take me back under.
Now I am far from being an expert on anime, but I find some of it to be extremely compelling if not thought provoking. Visually they come up with ideas that I don't see anywhere in American culture. Who else but the Japanese could envision a steam engine train moving through space?
Joe Millionaire was a let down with a recap of scenes from previous episodes. Of course this won't stop me from returning next week to see the two hour finale. I've watched since the beginning and I have to be there for the end. Yes, none of this is really important in the grand scheme of things, but I can't hear about Iraq all of the time.
