even more melting I spoke too soon about my down time going away. Before work tonight I managed to watch a couple more movies that were on opposite ends of the sophistication spectrum. First there was Lost in Translation, which appealed to me on certain levels, but wasn't quite as good as all of the hype that it had been written about it. Then there was Just Married, which made me laugh more than I had expected. What surprised me the most was that the Joe Sixpack version of Europe that Ashton represents didn't bother me as much as I thought that it would. Now this doesn't mean that I am going to rush out and see the movie Eurotrip, because that just looks annoying. Seeing Venice in the movie brought back all of my memories of my being there and made me want to go back. Italy isn't going to happen this year, but I will be making a return to Poland. Warsaw is on the list again and so is the more scenic southern part of the country which will be new for me. Going to Krakow after the semester ends is going to be welcome in change in scenery. ... Haze was what I saw when I looked out the window this morning and it stayed that way until it started to snow after the sun set. Before tonight I was convinced that all of the snow on the ground would be gone by Monday. Now that probably won't happen. |
