down to fifty-five One of the highlights of the day was being able to read some more issues of Tellos that I recently acquired from an online auction. I wasn't quite sure if I had made a mistake or not in purchasing them. Sometimes basing my decision on reading just one issue is not a good thing to do. What caught my attention first was how young both David and Gillian looked. At the time it was all new to them and the cult following was still in the future. Of course that is true since I didn't actively follow the series until the very end. I had a real love hate relationship with all of the hype that the series generated. ... Jem as been eclipsed by another musical choice. Thanks to my brother Faded Seaside Glamour by The Delays is all that I want to hear right now. With a lead singer who sounds like a woman but isn't and vocal stylings that remind me of the Cocteau Twins, I am very impressed. The opening track Wanderlust is my favorite and was set on repeat for a good part of the evening. |
