one tooth less At eleven thirty this morning I had a dental appointment and it wasn't for a simple cleaning. No, I was there for something a little more complicated. I was there to have my last wisdom tooth removed. Naturally this leads one to ask why wasn't it removed when I had the other three pulled. The best answer that I can give is that my dentist and orthodontist at the time couldn't agree on what to do. There may have also been some issue about my insurance covering the procedure for the fourth and final tooth, but I'm not positive on that point. Maybe it was impacted at the time. I'm not sure anymore. What I do know is that by ten after twelve, I was walking out the door with one less tooth and biting down on some gauze. From there I went to the pharmacist to get my two prescriptions filled. I had one for a painkiller and another for an antibiotic. Once I had both bottles of pills in hand, I went back home to relax for the rest of the day. |
