past mistakes surface When I woke early this evening, I saw on the answering machine that someone had called me while I was sleeping. The voice was a familiar one. It was my mother. She said that she had a piece of mail for me so I called her to see what could have been sent to her address for me considering the fact that I haven't lived with my parents in over a decade. Once I called I quickly got an answer that did not make me happy. The landlord that evicted my girlfriend of seven years ago is still trying to get money from her and her husband. Unfortunately my name was somehow still attached to this case and the court sent a summons to me via my parents old address. I am not happy. I have a legal document from seven years ago stating that I am released from said claim and that he is not allowed to take further action against me. |
